Elopements are AMAZING and are quickly becoming one of my favourite sessions to photograph! A romantic and intimate wedding day with less stress, no tight timelines, doing what you really want to do with the person you love the most! It was so much fun to photograph Nora and Gil’s elopement this past fall that I just had to share their story with you!
Nora and Gil’s vision for their elopement first must have item was out and nature with trees, wild flowers, their fur babies and being able to share this moment with two of their closest friends as their witnesses.
Nora and Gil were set up through a mutual friend and once they started communicating they hit it off! After an early morning delivery of flowers and Nora’s favourite beer and chats for hours, Nora and her fur babies fell head over heels in love with Gil.
Four months later, Gil brought Nora to meet his parents in Newfoundland, but while they were out there Gil popped the question! They were out in St. Johns and they were looking out at the harbour and Gil said for Nora to close her eyes. She thought he was going to feed her chocolate but when she opened her eyes, Gil was on one knee with a ring in his hand. He asked, and she said YES!!!
Gil is a woodsy guy who likes to to fish, and camp. Nora loves the simple things of life like cooking and plant flowers and working in her yard. They love walking their dogs, snuggling on the couch, and sitting around the campfire and listening to music.
September 26 was not only a special day for Nora and Gil but it was also the anniversary of her Dad’s passing a few years ago. So it was a real special day for the both of them!
If the thought of an elopement is interesting to you, PLEASE email me at hello@krystalmoorephotography.com and let’s chat! I believe these types of weddings will be very popular over the next few years!
So enough chit chat! I just can’t wait to show you Nora and Gil’s Moose Jaw elopement!
