This past summer my family and I wanted to leave the beautiful Saskatchewan prairies and head out to the Kananaskis mountains for some holidays! It was fantastic! My family LOVES the mountains! The views we saw were beautiful, the hikes we did were so fun and it was all so amazing! And if there was water around my kids were busy throwing rocks into it! Haha!

While planning our holiday, I had this dream of doing some photo shoots out there to love and bless a few couples with a couples session and to get some images for advertising purposes in hopes to gain some mountain sessions in the future. Well I put out a call and received so many wonderful entries! It was so hard to narrow it down but Spenser and Shelby were one of my amazing couples who won one out of five sessions.

Spenser and Shelby were married this past June in Saskatoon. Part of my dream was to photograph both engagement style sessions and mock wedding sessions in the hopes of someday photograph a wedding out in the beautiful Kananaskis area! (So if you know of anyone in the Calgary/Kananaskis mountain area that needs an engagement/wedding photographer, send them my way!!) So when I heard that Spenser and Shelby still had their wedding attire and was willing to get dressed up again, I knew they had to be one of the couples!

These two were troopers! I got them to come out to the location for 7am….yup, 7am! And to make it even more amazing, Spenser worked till midnight the night before. So early! It was so perfect though. The air was crisp, and the view were amazing, the water was so calm and these two were just SO adorable! It was worth waking up that early!

Spenser and Shelby are foster dog parents and I can’t wait to share with you with they did for their wedding with dogs….but you just have to wait till the next post with their wedding attire!! But on this couples session they brought their foster dog Roxy along. She was the so sweet so we had to get her in a few photos too! 🙂
