There’s something extra special about family sessions that include grandparents, and this one with Angie and Dan was such a joy to photograph. I met them at one of my fav spots around Moose Jaw, Sask at this unique bridge with permission from the owner.
Their outfits were absolutely adorable and so thoughtfully coordinated with soft hues of green, blues, and creams that complemented each other beautifully without feeling too “matchy.” Those tones photographed so well together and gave the entire gallery a timeless, cohesive feel especially with the golden hour glow. You could really see how much care went into planning their looks, and it elevated the session in the best way while still feeling natural and relaxed.
One of my favorite parts of an extended family session is the opportunity to capture a wide variety of photo combinations. Beyond the full group portraits, I love mixing things up. Grandparents with grandkids, individual families, couples, and sweet in-between moments you might not even realize are happening. This variety adds so much depth to a gallery and ensures everyone walks away with images that feel meaningful to them. Sessions like this with Angie and Dan are a perfect example of how extended family time can be both fun and beautifully documented.
Thanks for the fun session Dan and Angie!
