Meet Denver and Catherine, a military couple here in Moose Jaw. Catherine contacted me about doing a session of the two of them because later in the spring Denver was going to be away for a few months. What a perfect opportunity to get some photos with each other, to capture the love between them and push pause on time before he had to go!
These two cuties were a bunch of fun! They were so personable, joy filled and let me tell you, the sparks were just flying between them! They had so much fun at their session and it was a joy to photograph this stage of life for them!
They made this session their own with some unique details! First off, they got married with a special pair of Justice League Converse shoes, so they wanted to include them. (And I had to wear my black converse shoes that day too – just to show my support!)
The second unique detail they wanted to include was a few shots of a T-Rex costume. Yup, you read that right. The costumes have some important memories including their wedding proposal Take a listen to part of their proposal “He hatched a scheme with my best friend and hid in my apartment to surprise me when I got home by not only coming a day early but also proposing in an inflatable T-Rex costume.” On their wedding rehearsal day, Catherine even surprised Denver and walked down the isle with her Dad in a T-Rex costume. So it was just so fitting for them to get dressed up in the costumes for a few photos!
Another special thing about this session is the time and location. Catherine loves golden hour so it was perfect that their session was at that time. (Bonus that is when the light is SOOO beautiful and my fav time to photograph sessions!) We went down into the old Animal Park where they love to walk their dog. Catherine and Denver’s session just had so much heart and memories behind it and it was a JOY to be apart of! I wish you all the best you two!
So enough chit chat, keep on scrolling to see some photos from their beautiful golden hour spring couples session down in the Walkamow Valley.
Awwww! What a beautifully-written story and brilliantly-photographed session. Thank you for posting this. 😁
Awe thank you Sharon! These two were so much fun!!
