I’m slowly but surely catching up on some older blog posts, and I couldn’t skip over Kelly and Mike’s beautiful fall family session. We met out at the old animal park area in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, which made the perfect backdrop. It’s one of those sessions that has stayed in my mind long after it was delivered with full of connection, personality, and those rich fall tones that never go out of style.
Their outfit choices were such a standout detail. The mix of patterns and solids worked so effortlessly together, creating just the right amount of visual interest without feeling overwhelming. And those jewel tones—yellows, blues, and blacks—completely popped off the soft, earthy background of the park. Everything felt intentional but still relaxed, which is exactly the balance you want for a family session. Each outfit complemented the others beautifully while still letting individual personalities shine, resulting in a gallery that feels bold, cohesive, and timeless all at once.
