Last year’s 2025 Little Princess Ball brought waves of sparkle, joy, and pure imagination to Moose Jaw at the Temple Gardens Centre. Held May 24th and 25th, the committee transformed the space into a Disney inspired fairy-tale celebration where little kids could step into a world of wonder and make memories to last a lifetime. This was the 14th year!

The theme for this year was inspired by the Disney movie Encanto, celebrating bright colours, family love, and the enchanting spirit that resonates with kids and adults alike. From whimsical decorations to vibrant spaces echoing the charm of the Madrigal family, the event truly felt like stepping into a storybook world where every child could feel royal and special.

The Little Princess Ball isn’t just a magical experience, it’s also a cherished fundraiser for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation. Hosted annually to support vital healthcare in our community, proceeds from the ball this year are designated toward purchasing Panda beds—advanced neonatal care units for newborns in the Women’s Health Unit at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. These beds provide a warm, monitored environment for newborns and help families stay close during those first critical moments.

The Moose Jaw Health Foundation’s work through events like this has made a real difference in local healthcare, helping to fund essential equipment and services at our hospital.

One of the most precious parts of this year’s ball for me was watching my own daughter play Belle, my favourite Disney princess (yes, forever enchanted by her love of books and kindness ). To see her dressed in her golden gown, welcoming little princesses with warm smiles and dancing with delight… well, let’s just say my heart was totally melted.

Watching her interact with the younger kids, help them find their courage on the dance floor, and share in every laugh reminded me exactly why events like this are so beautiful: they’re not just about costumes and magic—they’re about joy, connection, and community spirit.

From crafts and dancing to magical meet-and-greets with beloved princesses, the Little Princess Ball continues to be a treasured tradition in Moose Jaw, bringing families together and supporting a cause that touches so many lives.
