Wow – what a New Years! Every year, Joe’s Place takes over Hillcrest Church for their annual New Year’s Eve Party! They put together a giant party for the youth of Moose Jaw and surrounding area a safe and fun place to ring in the New Year!
Every year they create an amazing skit and every year, it get’s bigger and better than the year before. They involve youth in creating sets and costumes and acting and wow, they do a great job!
In prior communication about Voltage, here is what the organizers said about the skit and event! “Voltage 2024: Legacy and we can’t wait to see the venue filled with up to 700 youth, staff and volunteers ready to have a fun-filled, memorable night at this superhero themed event. This year’s title is so fitting! First of all, we want to leave a Legacy in this city by investing in youth by providing this chem-free New Year’s Eve party, where they can be safe in a church, surrounded by loving adults instead of at some unsupervised house party. Secondly, we want to show them they have been given a Legacy in the form of gifts & talents (superpowers) that they can use to help others and leave their own Legacy. Finally, we want them to know that they have been given an even deeper Legacy, an inheritance to claim, that they need only receive, and they are all worthy heirs of that gift.”
Voltage features Bazooka Ball, axe throwing, inflatables, art contests, karaoke, an arcade, Gagaball, 9 Square and VR as well as cute, fuzzy animal guests. And… Juno-Award-winning band, The Color, rocked the house once again.
