Catitlin and Matt were married at a beautiful backyard wedding this past August! Three words that they used to describe their wedding were love, romantic and fun! And they couldn’t have picked three better words!

Caitlin and Matt were the most relaxed couple ever, just rolling with what changes needed to be made when Covid had to change made couples wedding plans. Even on the wedding day it was so windy, they had to tape down their decorations and we had to change the formal photos location so their hair and outfits wouldn’t get blown away. But it was not surprising that they were so easy going, their families were just as easy going and kind! I instantly felt welcomed and loved!

They had such a beautiful color pallet/theme for their backyard wedding with colors of lilac and grey and a variety of textures of wood, greenery and lace! They even created this giant wood wall for the backdrop of their ceremony. So pretty!

This wedding was sprinkled with so many personal, important and special details. But here are two beautiful things that I just have to share:

• Their backyard wedding was at Caitlin’s Grandpa’s house. She spent lots of time there with her grandparents when she was little so this was a very special location for their wedding!
• They had a “30 year display” with photos of their grandparents and parents wedding photos. But what makes this even more special is that every 30 years there was a wedding in Caitlin’s family! What a cool tradition! Here is what Caitlin said about this: “My great grandparents married in 1930. My grandparents married in 1960. My parents married in 1990. Now I am getting married in 2020. Every 30 years it just so happened that a generation in the family has gotten married. Growing up, my sister always joked that I had to wait and get married in 2020. I always thought I’d be married sooner! Haha life happens, we get busy and look where we are now. Clearly I was meant to get married in 2020.” So special eh?!!!

Here is some advise from these two love birds! “Have fun and enjoy this time. I know it can be stressful, but take it one task at a time, write it down and use your support systems.”

Congrats again Matt and Caitlin!!! It was so much fun to be apart of your special back yard wedding! I wish you all the best and I can’t wait to see you guys again in the future!!
