Meet Roxie and Ryan – two amazingly talented teachers with hearts of gold who got engaged earlier this spring!
I first meet Roxie at a Parent Teacher interview. She was my daughters grade 4 teacher two years ago. She was always smiling! As a thank you teacher gift I offered to do a couples session for her and her boyfriend, Ryan. And let me tell you, it was SOOOO cold (I was dressed up in my winter gear!) but SOOOO much fun!! These two had such a chemistry that it made my job so easy! You can see their adorable couples session blog post here.
During the spring of Covid 2020, I got an exciting message from Roxie that Ryan proposed and was hoping that I would be their wedding photographer!! I was over the moon excited for them and completely honored that they would want me to photograph their special day!
Ryan and Roxie met in 2014 and became instant friends. They completed their education degrees together in 2017, bought a house together in 2019, engaged in 2020 and will be married in 2021! Roxie had zero idea that Ryan was going to propose when he did and she didn’t figure it out till he was on his knee! Ryan made a video with everything that they accomplished together over the last 6 years and at the last part of the video he asked Roxie to be his wife. So sweet eh?!
Fast forward to their engagement session. We went south of Moose Jaw to a super cute bridge and prairie landscape. They brought along their puppy Echo who was the sweetest dog ever! I didn’t hear her bark once. (You got to see the photo of Roxie’s ring on Echo’s nose!)
Ryan and Roxie are amazing! They have the best laughs, tons of joy and so much love for each other and it shows in every single photo!! And let me tell you, they were up for anything! From traditional photos, to running through the prairie grasses, to a shoulder ride, they rocked everything I asked them to do! They were even up for being wrapped in Christmas lights!
So enough chit chat and enjoy Ryan and Roxie’s engagement session!!
