Couple sessions are quickly becoming my fav! I just love everything about them! The love, the giggles, the smiles, the intimate moments, the adventure and so much more! And this prairie engagement session with Derek and Tova was just that!!
I’ve known Derek ever since he was born. Why? He’s my second cousin! So it was so much fun to get him and his fiancee, Tova in front of my camera! I am sooo excited for him for his upcoming wedding to Tova later this summer!
Derek and Tova came down to Lake Alma for their community bridal shower at the end of May. (The joys of small towns -community supporting community and showering the new couple with a ton of house hold items!!) That weekend I came down to my parents farm and wanted to photograph a few sessions. I had messaged Derek and Tova and told them about it and they jumped on board! We did a sunrise engagement session starting 6:30 am! Ok, ok, I know, that is early, but that is considered golden hour and the lighting was perfect! And, for Saskatchewan at that time it was pretty calm and no bugs! Win, win!
These two were so comfortable and cute in front of the camera! We went up to the “big hill” in my dad pasture so we could see the rolling hills (yes, Saskatchewan has some hills! haha!) and it was picture perfect! I also loved Tova’s dress! It photographed soooo well and added that extra “cherry on the top” detail for an extra bit of romance and beauty! And you just have to see how it reacted to the wind! Pure magic!
Derek and Tova are getting married later this summer by her home town. Then moving to Lake Alma where they have been renovating a cute little home! I can’t wait to come and visit you guys once you get settled in!
