Buffalo Pound Wedding Creative // The Details

Way back in the winter I started this idea of doing my own wedding styled creative with a bunch of Saskatchewan vendors! The goal? 1. I wanted to showcase some amazingly talented Sask wedding vendors. 2. I wanted to meet and get to know more of these wonderfully talented vendors. 3. And lastly I wanted to get some new advertising media for the new website and social media for myself and others. 🙂

I had the dream of doing a nature inspired wedding session at the beautiful Buffalo Pound Lake. And it turned out so perfect! Every vendor went above and beyond with what they supplied! I had the cutest couple, Paige and Rylan! They were so adorable and rocked everything I asked them to do! They were playful, serious, full of joy and so much love! It was easy to see why they are together! Paige wore a beautiful gown from Newline Fashions and Rylan wore a handsome outfit from Trinos Menswear. Kara Paints Hair did an beautiful updo and it held out beautifully with the crazy wind that was on our session day! Ali from AGW Make Up did such a good job with Paige’s make up. Making it elegant but so natural at the same time. Paige got to hold such a unique and beautiful flower bouquet made by the talented Marleen from Daisy and Bird Floral Design. Marleen also came out to our session and created the bouquet on location because she used the same flowers and greenery for the table! Such talent! With every wedding must have an wedding invitation suite so I was able to get the super talented Mashed from Paper Ocelot to create a nature inspired suite. I told her to create whatever she wanted and it was so beautiful! We also had Joya’s super yummy brown sugar cake (best in town!!) with a simple white buttercream frosting from Pure Joy Cupcakes and Marleen’s flowers on top! With the reception theme for part of the session we had a down to earth simple table scape with linens from Bold Impressions and Design, flowers by Daisy and Bird Floral Design, stunning wooden chairs, gold cutlery and glass cups from Special Event Rentals in Regina, menus made by the talented Paper Ocelot, cheese boards from Superstore and the beautiful plates from Winners!

Can’t wait for the next one! 🙂 And thank you to my hubby Evan for putting up with all the planning and then helping me on the day with whatever I needed. He also was taking some behind the scene shots of me and some detail photos of the couple! (And they were pretty awesome!). Thank you to Lindsay for also helping me come up with some ideas and then helping me on the day as well!
